Alaska Trip Day 8

July 7

Hello All

Yesterday's Motel was a older motel but nice.  We left before the place opened, they had quite a system for leaving you key.  It was in a box just outside the office door.  Any one could have reached in and took the key after you left it.  The trip today was 384 miles.  We passed some extremely beautiful country.  Today riding through the Canada Rockies was some thing to behold.  We traveled along a river for 200 miles with the mountains on both sides.  I wish we had more time to stop and see the sights.  We had breakfast in a small town along the way and every one has been so nice.  The temp was colder today.  It started out in the mid 50 and only seen 74 as a high.  We had a couple of light sprinkles along the way but not much to talk about.  Lunch was in Banff, French onion soup is what we choose. We have stopped in Jasper for the night the room that we got is very nice but the cost was quite high a night.  We have internet conductivity so I am catching up on the web page.  We will be hitting the start of the Alcan highway tomorrow.
