Hello all

We had nice breakfast at the Bed and Breakfast this morning.  We left around 9:00 AM and went to the Ulu knife factory in Anchorage this morning.  It wasn't a really large building but the had all the equipment to shape the curve shape knives, sharpen them, polish them and make the handles.  The work area's were divided it to two one for the metal side and the other for the wood side.  Candy purchased one of them and a leather case to hold it.  We set the GPS to go to the Fur Trader in town.  It was one of the best store to pick up things from Alaska that we had been it so far.  The store was jammed with small and large items.  If you want a full bear skin with the head attached no problem or if you want a hat made the same way you can get it there.    From the Fur Trader it was around 40 miles to a Musk ox farm just north of town.  We arrive after stopping for lunch at the Noisy Goose Cafe it was a busy place but had great food.  The farm was a older farm that had been use for cattle before being set up to care for Musk ox.  They had 53 of them at the farm.  Candy purchased some of the most expensive yarn made from the ox under hair that I believe is made.  A small skein which was enough for a small hat was $80.  I hope that she is happy with it!  We stop at the laundry mat to wash clothes before going to Richard and Krisann house for supper.  They had put on a spread the should have be on the cover of a food magazine, Mary (Krisann mother would have been proud).  We had a nice evening and got back in at 11:10 PM.  It was still not dark when we got back to the bread and breakfast.
