Alaska Trip Day 4

Hello All

Yesterday was quite the day.  The storm that went through was bad.  It blow off the motorcycle cover of Julian and Mary Jo, both Mikes and my bike covers was full of water but not off.  It was raining when we got up.  The fish I ate last night left a bone stuck in my throat I tried to eat some bread in the morning but I still felt in there.  When we arrived in Billings and got checked into the hotel  it was off to the emergency room to see about the bone.  After they called in a nose and throat doctor we found out that I had a small battle wound in my throat from the bone, but the bone was gone.  I am glad it was not serious.  He told me not to worry about it and go on like nothing happened. He used a small light and tube up the nose to see.  He let Candy look at the spot were the bone was.  I am sure it will be the most expensive look she will have in a while. HA HA

The start of today look like it would be a all day rain.  After breakfast we packed the bikes, the rain had stopped but it still looked bad.  We put on the top half of the rain suits when we left.  We had great luck and missed all the rain today!  The trip up was nice and the speed limit was 75 and we made good time.(It takes a lot of fuel to go that speed)

We stop at Roosevelt National Park along the way and took the ride loop through the park.  We seen lots of Prairie dogs and two Buffalo and wild horses in the park.  Had lunch and continued on the road.  It was cool in the morning but was 93 by the end of the day.  Mike and Nancy split off and went to a camp site for the night.  Julian and Mary Jo ended up across the road from us at the Red Roof Inn.  The room at the Motel 6 is nice but no tub only a shower stall.  We are planning on meeting up in the morning.

It was a long hot day and the run was 423 miles.
